The Conroe Family Medicine Residency offers continuing education opportunities for both our own faculty and staff and physicians in our community.
The Conroe Family Medicine Residency Program was formed in 1979 as the Montgomery County Medical Education Foundation by a group of physicians who were interested in developing and establishing a Family Medicine residency program in Montgomery County. Our first three residents graduated in June 1985.
Affiliated with the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston from 1983-1994 and with the University of Texas Medical Branch from 1994-2000, the program is now sponsored by Conroe Medical Education Foundation and is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. The program has been very successful. It was reviewed by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education in 2017 and awarded the status of continued full accreditation. This, along with our strong pass rate on the Board Certification Examination offered by the American Board of Family Medicine, is an outstanding statement about the quality of training our residents receive.
