Sandra attended the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas and graduated with her dental hygiene certificate over ten years ago in May of 2003. She was licensed by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners in July of 2003. As a dental hygienist, she has worked seven years in general practice and over three years in pediatric dentistry. Sandra has worked as clinical adjunct faculty for the Lone Star College System Dental Hygiene Program for two years in Kingwood, Texas. She now has devoted her full time to Lone Star Family Health Center. She joined Lone Star Family Health Center in December of 2010 and helped to evolve their first Pediatric Dental Clinic.
The dental clinic has recently expanded and adults have been sent to her for treatment, along with the children she continues to see. This recent modification has prompted Sandra to implement a periodontal therapy program to accommodate the adult population and help provide optimum oral health care.
Sandra has volunteered for numerous events over the past twelve years and is passionate about teaching adults and children proper oral care so they are free from oral disease. She hopes the education that one child receives at a young age will be passed on for generations to come. Sandra enjoys camping, playing golf, traveling, and dancing. She is married and has one son, Matt. He currently lives in Lubbock, Texas and attends Texas Tech University.
