Dr. Davis graduated from UT Austin and went to medical school at UTMB Galveston. He completed Family Practice Residency at UCLA affiliated hospital in San Bernardino CA and served two years in the National Health Service Corps. He moved to Conroe in 1978 and was in private practice until 2009. He has been in part-time practice since 2009. Dr. Davis founded the Montgomery County Medical Education Foundation and the Residency Program in 1980, which is now the Lone Star Family Health Center. Prior to joining the Lone Star family, he served on the Board of Directors. He is Board Certified in Addiction Medicine and is in the process of renewing his Family Medicine Board certification. Dr. Davis is involved in local, state, and national medical organizations and served as President of the Texas Academy of Family Physicians and is currently a member of the Physician Health and Wellness Committee of the Texas Medical Association. He is on the faculty of UTMB Galveston and the UT Health Science Center in Houston where he received the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. He has two daughters and 6 grandchildren. He enjoys working out, playing racquetball, and cycling. In 2013 he rode 3 legs of the Tour de France.
