Community Health Centers provide access to basic health care in the communities that need them most. Our doors are open to everyone – families and children from birth to the end of life. We provide care for patients who are uninsured, underinsured, on Medicaid, Medicare or have private insurance. Federally-Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), are non-profit, providers of high-quality, affordable primary and preventive care serving low income and medically underserved communities.
Currently, Health Centers provide comprehensive care to over 24 million patients at about 9,000 service delivery sites in every state and territory. Health Centers save the health care system $24 billion annually in reduced emergency, hospital, and specialty care costs.
