Capital Campaign

In order to better serve the needs of Conroe and the Montgomery County communities, Lone Star Family Health Center has embarked on a $15-million capital campaign to build a state-of-the-art health care facility. The 45,000-square-foot facility will enable Lone Star to schedule approximately 40,000 – 50,000 additional patient visits each year.

Founded in 2002, Lone Star Family Health Center is a federally qualified health center that works to improve and maintain the physical and emotional health in the communities it serves. Over the last few years, the number of Lone Star patient visits has increased from 43,232 in 2006 to over 57,000 in 2010. The increasing patient counts reflect the growing need for health care in Montgomery County, and Lone Star’s current limited space restricts the amount of patients who can be seen and the amount of programs that can be provided.

The new facility will provide:

  • Increased access to care for residents of Montgomery County and the surrounding area
  • Onsite dentistry, including pediatric dentistry
  • Expanded mental health services
  • 40,000 additional patient encounters each year
  • Better opportunities for resident and staff interaction
  • A permanent, non-leased, health care facility
By building this facility, Lone Star will be creating lasting change in our community. Your support for this campaign is particularly valuable as Houston Endowment, Inc. has generously provided a $1.5 million challenge grant which must be met by February 2013.
