The Conroe Medical Education Foundation Family Medicine Residency Program is seeking a faculty member practicing the full range of family medicine, including obstetrics. CAQ in Geriatrics and/or endoscopy skills are desirable.

PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT - Full time/Part time
Lone Star Family Health Center, a federally-qualified health center, is looking for a full-time or part-time family physician assistant. Providers at our clinic in Conroe, Texas see patients of all ages and varying degrees of medical complexity. We also serve as a family medicine residency training site. General Summary of Duties - Provides day to day patient care in the clinic. Prepares schedules for medical assistants as assigned.
Supervisor - R.N. Nurse Manager
DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Maintaining an orderly, efficient, and timely flow of patients.
- Greeting patients and preparing them for physician’s examination.
- Providing general nursing care to patients as necessary for office treatment.
- Screening patients for appropriate information.
- Instructing patients in collection of samples and tests.
- Arranging for patient testing and admissions
- Checking rooms daily for necessary supplies.
- Responding to and referring incoming telephone calls.
- Instructing patients and family regarding medications and treatment instructions.
- Maintaining and reviewing patients’ records and other pertinent information.
- Posting tests and examination results.
- Maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Administering medications in accordance with physician orders.
- Maintaining current knowledge to assure a safe working environment and demonstrating practical application of all policies and procedures relative to safety and infection control.
- Utilizing universal precautions in any potential contact with patient body fluids or used patient supplies that may be contaminated with patient body fluids.
- Projecting a positive image of the facility in all interactions and supporting effective team functioning.
- Responsible for work assignments and daily operations.
- Follows all rules and regulations of Nurse Practice Act.
- Maintains licensure and continuing education credits
- Serves as a patient advocate.

EDUCATION
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with certification and license as an MA, LVN, or RN

Medical Assistant
General Summary of Duties - General Summary of Duties - Responsible and accountable for the provision of nursing care to
patients in accordance with state standards of medical care, physicians' orders, and established policies and procedures.
Supervisor - R.N. Nurse Manager
DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Performs selected nursing and administrative duties.

- Notifies the Clinical Supervisor or Office Manager when clinical and office supplies need replenishing.
- Assists in maintaining patient files, records, and other information to contribute to accurate data gathering.
- Compiles and condenses technical and statistical data for reports and records.
- Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.
- Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.
- Performs related work as required.
