Community
Conroe is a very livable community, with a low crime rate, excellent health care and education and a friendly, small-town atmosphere. There are more than 100 churches and synagogues in the area covering a wide variety of denominations and faiths. Plus, there is always something fun to do! Conroe boasts numerous cultural activities, festivals and special events, while beautiful Lake Conroe and the adjacent Sam Houston National Forest  offer a wide range of exciting recreational opportunities.
Conroe is only 2 ½ hours from both Dallas and Austin. It is adjacent to The Woodlands, which provides a multitude of housing, employment, and entertainment opportunities for you and your family.
Housing
 A suburban Houston community of 45,000 people, Conroe is centrally located in Montgomery County. Located along Interstate 45, approximately 40 miles north of downtown Houston, Conroe is in the heart of the Piney Woods part of Texas.
Conroe and the surrounding area sustain a healthy growth and have a population of well over 300,000. Employment opportunities are readily available for your family throughout the area in a diversity of fields.

Recreation
 Because Conroe is a Houston suburb, a variety of big city fun without the hassle of traffic jams and high costs of living, is just a short distance away. There are excellent entertainment opportunities with fantastic shopping, cultural experiences, fine dining, professional sports teams, concerts, recreational parks, exhibits, and outdoor fun that are easily within reach.
The Reliant Park (Reliant Stadium, Reliant Center, Reliant Arena , Reliant Astrodome) and Minute Maid Park (Houston Astros), are some of the most unique sports and entertainment facilities in existence, while the Toyota Center is host to the ’94 and ’95 World Champion Houston Rockets.
With the Houston Space Center, Downtown Aquarium, and Splashtown, as well as The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, a top venue for performing arts nearby in The Woodlands, there are a variety of amusement and entertainment attractions to make you and your family smile. From the greatest sports teams to the most sought after concerts, Conroe is in the right place for entertainment fun. And for those who like hiking, biking, fishing, golfing, and a variety of water craft sports, the area is surrounded with parks and recreation opportunities.

Education
Through award winning financial planning and budgeting procedures, Conroe Independent School District had been able to attract and maintain quality, professional teachers and provide a sound pupil/teacher ratio. The Conroe Independent School District has over 46,500 students and is one of the 20 largest districts and fastest growing districts in Texas.
Post secondary opportunities are also available. The Lone Star College is the fourth and newest community college in the Lone Star College System. A 250,000 square foot campus located on 100 acres of pine forest along State Hwy. 242 and I-45 North, Lone Star College offers thirty career programs and numerous academic transfer programs ranging from business to biotechnology. Additionally, Rice University, the University of Houston, Sam Houston State University, and Texas A&M University collectively serve the area with four year post secondary and graduate studies.
