Our Mission at Lone Star Family Health Center is simple.
“Providing compassionate, affordable healthcare and preparing tomorrow’s family medicine professionals.”
This short statement packed full of meaning for you, your family and our community and beyond.
One part of our mission is to make it easy for individuals and families to receive a full range of healthcare services…from infants to seniors and everyone in between. Women’s, men’s, dental, pharmacy, laboratory & x-ray, sports, infant & child, mental health, OB / GYN and geriatric are only some of the healthcare services you can find at LSFHC. Compassionate healthcare means much more than an office visit or a treatment to our doctors and staff. That’s why you will find LSFHC staff involved through community outreach with health partnerships, health-related committees, health fairs, back-to-school programs and so much more.
“Affordable” means that we care for everyone, regardless of the ability to pay. We care for those who are fully insured and as a Federally Qualified Health Center, we also care for Medicaid and Medicare patients, the uninsured and underinsured. Read more about financial information for patients.
We not only care for families directly, we help to prepare other professionals to care for the families of the future. Lone Star Family Health Center provides a nationally recognized Family Medicine Residency Program annually graduates up to 10 family medicine residents to serve in Montgomery County and elsewhere.
Lone Star Family Health Center (LSFHC) was founded in 2002 to “provide high quality, easily accessible health services to the underserved and the community at large.” In 2004, LSFHC became a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with the mission to strengthen, stabilize and expand patient access to healthcare services in Montgomery County. Since then, we have continued to expand our facilities and our capacity and extend our care to all community families and individuals.
